Early and advanced career nurses who practice in the field of MS can now access program highlights from the 7th Annual Linda Morgante MS Nurse Leadership Program held on May 26-27, 2015 in Indianapolis, IN. Topics covered by 12 thought leaders at the 2-day program are summarized within the newsletter and relate to: the pathophysiology of MS, diagnostic and assessment approaches, maintaining/improving patient medication adherence, and symptom management. This newsletter is provided as a follow-up to the program and continues to build upon the interactive training experience allowing clinicians to refine their skill set within the field of MS.
This activity is intended for nurses with a stated interest in MS.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
•Examine the pathophysiology and immunology of MS that may have implications for patient quality of life
•Adopt evidence-based diagnostic and assessment approaches for evaluating disease activity both in the brain and spinal cord and related symptomatology in patients with MS
•Discuss the goals of MS treatment with patients to encourage adherence to treatment and improve outcomes by recognizing emerging MS-related symptoms and adverse events associated with disease-modifying therapies

To receive credit, participants are required to complete the pre-test, review the e-newletter and complete the post-test and evaluation forms. To receive credit, 75% must be achieved on the post-test. A certificate will be immediately available. There is no fee to participate in the activity or for the generation of the certificate.
