The Academy for Continued Healthcare Learning’s (ACHL’s) mission is to design, develop, and implement quality continuing education activities that will have a positive influence on the way healthcare is practiced ultimately to improve the quality of care provided to patients.

The purpose of ACHL’s CME/CPE/CE program is to:

• Meet or exceed the Essential Areas and Policies of the ACCME, abide by the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support, adhere to The Physicians Recognition Award and credit system requirements, and comply with the ACPE Quality Criteria and Interpretive Guidelines
• Provide activities and educational interventions that are designed to change competence, performance or patient outcomes
• Continue to improve mechanisms to measure the needs of target audiences and provide practitioners in various specialties, disciplines, and geographic proximities with current and relevant education based on these demonstrated needs
• Develop activities that advance physicians’, pharmacists’, and other practitioners’ professional development
• Employ various outcomes methodologies to best determine the educational value and effectiveness of our offerings
• Explore new technologies to deliver independent education via media and modalities that overcome financial and time barriers

The Academy for Continued Healthcare Learning (ACHL) serves its mission by designing directly sponsored and jointly sponsored educational activities using a variety of educational methods, media and approaches.

Our high quality educational activities support clinicians in their continuing professional development and training by seeking to build competence and all activities are measured to at least Level 4 outcomes.

ACHL targets practicing primary care and specialty clinicians in all clinical/practice-related areas with a special focus on cardiology, critical care medicine, endocrinology, infectious disease, immunology, gastroenterology, women’s health and pediatrics.
