Lung Nodules: Evaluation and Diagnostic Approaches

This educational activity is designed to educate clinicians such as oncologists and pulmonologists as well as physician-trainees, pharmacists, nurses and allied health professionals in the care and management of patients who may present with lung nodules. Recommendations regarding appropriate screening, follow up and management of these lung nodules is constantly changing and new medical devices continue to enter the market to support this follow up. This education will enable those providers who identify lung nodules to select the appropriate diagnostics, staging and follow up for typical and high risk patients.
This program is designed for oncologists, pulmonologists, physician-trainees, pharmacists, nurses, and other allied health care professionals who are involved in the care of patients with lung nodules.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the various diagnostic and staging procedures for lung nodules.
- Select the appropriate approach and follow up for high risk patients with lung nodules
