Evaluating the many different modern contraception options currently available to women can be challenging for both clinicians and patients when making informed decisions. Take a look at the patient discussion guide to learn more about available contraception options and the many choices available, as well as current best practices on how to make appropriate selections at various stages in women’s lives. The guide will include image and audio clips to reinforce learnings.
The activity will have a patient education focus targeting women to provide information regarding available contraceptive options in India and encouraging initiating discussions with their healthcare provider.
This activity is designed to educate women in India about commonly held contraception-related misconceptions and offer scientifically based knowledge that will help them make informed contraceptive decisions.
ACHL is partnering with the Federation of Obstetrics & Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI) and the India Medical Association (IMA).
The goals of this educational activity are to provide information to patients in India about contraception in order to: 1) improve patient knowledge of available methods of contraception for women across their reproductive lifespan, 2) dispel myths and misconceptions about contraception, and 3) improve participatory medicine/shared decision making.
