A New Era: Targeting Iron Deficiency to Improve Heart Failure Outcomes
A panel-style format of 3 clinician experts that will discuss current and emerging diagnostic approaches to support iron deficiency (ID) as a treatment target in heart failure (HF). The panel will engage in objective, non-judgmental discussion of 3 cases to demonstrate best practices in clinical assessment and diagnosis of ID, as well as its management in patients with HF, with the goal of improving patient outcomes. The activity will also focus on reviewing the clinical impact of intravenous iron therapy in both chronic and acute HF settings.
